Lil Miss Cutie Pie is Seven Months!!

Ohh my goodness I am so in love with this little girl!!!

Our sweet Daisylyn is seven months old. Yesterday we did a little photo shoot to mark the milestone.
What she is doing these days:
-Sits big and tall unassisted.
-She has her two bottom teeth and it looks like she is getting in four top teeth. She has been in a lot of pain this week teething.
-She is sleeping through the night for the most part. Hooray!!
-She isn't eating much these days due to the sore mouth. We are still working on getting her to eat solids more consistently.
-She loves to socialize and play with her cousins and the little guy I babysit.
-She spent a week at Cousins and Grandma's house last week while Brinton and I were on a Cruise with his sisters and parents. From what I have heard she had lots of fun at each of her cousins houses and grandmas.
-She is still rolling all over the place to get around the room.
-She squeals and talks all day long.
-Her little nose has been running this week. She makes the cutest little crinkle face as she blows in and out of her nose.
-She seems so tall.
-She is smiley most all the time. Especially when I go in to get her first thing in the morning.
-We love our little miss cutie pie.

Starting Solids

Milestone: This past week we started feeding Daisylyn solids. So far she has been doing pretty well. Her doctor recommended that we introduce one new food a week. The GI doctor we have consulted with recommended starting with sweet potatoes and squash, rather than rice cereal and apple sauce which both can be constipating.

Another Milestone: Daisylyn has had digestion and pooping problems since she was born. We have had to give her suppositories for her to able to have a BM. I have been trying to stretch as long a possible between suppositories so she would start going on her own. This at times was difficult for a few reasons. 1. She has had difficulty with constipation 2. She has reflux and will throw up more often with out getting rid of things on the other side 3. She would cry and cry until she got help going #2.

For over a week now she has been able to go on her own which is such a blessing. Her reflux seems to have shown improvement as well. She continues to grow and grow a bit each day. Here are some pictures from her first feeding of solids.

Daisylyn is 4 months

We need to get an official family picture still!!

Cousin shot while we were having our Ison family reunion in Caldwell visiting my
grandpa's grave site.

Brinton calls her his little twin. Do you see a strong resemblance here?

Our sweet little Daisylyn is 4 months old. Today we went to the doctor for our wellness checkup and immunizations.

Here are her stats:

14lbs 7oz (she has now doubled her birth weight)

25inches long

She is beginning to roll from side to side and it won't be long before she is turning over. We are going to give her solids foods this week. We are going to start with sweet potatoes. We would have given them to her tonight, but she fell asleep while she was playing. She smiles and talks all day long and gives us an occasional giggle.

A couple more pictures: 3 months

Daisylyn is 3 months

Today we celebrated Daisylyn's 3 month old mark. She and I had a little photo session at home. It was fun, but I as soon as I pulled out the camera she hid her smiles. I managed to get one photo with a smile.

She is such a sweet girl. At this point she is enjoying watching people and is aware of all the noises around her. She likes to smile and laugh too. She will glance toward the TV if it is on. She likes to put her hands in her mouth and is starting to explore by grabbing things. When she goes to sleep she likes to hug a blanket and keep it near her cheek. She will also cover her head if it is light in the room.

She is our little sweetheart and we love her so!!!!
